Attracted by the sometimes massive architecture of some churches built when we did not have the equipment of today or by the simple rock foundations of smaller structures, I am committed to locating and documenting these places of worship throughout the Shenandoah Valley. Painting in acrylics, I offer only original pieces of art on canvas, wood and other surfaces and work on a commission basis. Having completed more than 100 churches, I am constantly searching for more subjects. I am interested in learning the whereabouts of unusual examples of these buildings for future paintings. Since just about everyone can relate to a church in some way, ie, wedding, these paintings make wonderful gifts. In addition, I will paint from photos of churches which are no longer in existence.
