In order to raise some funds for the Schultz Theatre, we are gonna do an Improv Comedy Show on Saturday, January 22 (7pm?) and Sunday January 23 (3pm Matinee?).
Though Improv is off the cuff and requires no rehearsal (allegedly), I would like to meet the Wednesday-Friday before we perform to practice being off-the-cuff and get to know our volunteers. So, Wednesday Jan 19, Thursday Jan 20, and Friday Jan 21 at 6:30pm at Shultz (?).
Depending on how many participants we have, and how many Improv Games/ Ideas, the show may be an hour long or have an intermission and be longer. If we can find a way to stretch it, then Intermissions are a great way to sell concessions and make more money! We could do music the second half? Jam Session, perhaps. Or a real band that just needs to dust off their instruments.
Please come if you are interested in making friends, playing onstage or getting involved in a small-community fledgling theatre. Bring a friend! Bring a sack of wierd props! Bring an instrument! Bring ideas!
The School division of STSPA teaches private and group lessons in voice, piano, acting and guitar. For more information, check out their website at SchultzTheatre.com or call The Schultz Theatre at (540) 740-9119.
